IBPS (Institute for Banking Personnel Selection)
Institute of Banking Personnel Selection is an autonomous organization. Normally IBPS conduct examination for all public sector banks including regional rural banks except State Bank of India and their associate banks. Four examinations will be held by IBPS in the year for completing vacancy in the banks for recruitment of Clerk, Officer Scale I, II, and III, (General and Specialized category).
It also provides its service to SBI, other Associate Banks of SBI, RBI, NABARD, SIDBI, few Co-operative Banks, LIC and Insurance companies which are regular members of the IBPS society. In addition to that Regional Rural Banks, many Public Sector Undertakings of Non-financial sectors, Government Departments, State owned companies and Corporations also avail its services. Some major universities and reputed Management institutes engage IBPS regularly for conduct of their “Admission Tests”.
National Institute of Bank Management has established this organization in 1984 and changed the name of Personal Selection Services (PCC) as IBPS.
